After a long career Paul witnessed the change in the funeral industry which was
not for the benefit of Australian families. With costs increasing, funerals were
becoming unaffordable for the Australian family. This dramatic shift of what
should be a time of grievance for a family was turning out to be a business and
not a service.
Paul decided after seeing most of the funeral homes being sold to the big
consortiums, to go out on his own and start his own company, Academy Sydney Funeral Services, to cater for all people from all walks of life and beliefs.
